Here at the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies we help business and education introduce social and collaborative approaches into their organisations for working and learning. 

1 - Working Smarter Consultancy

We believe that "training" is often the hammer used to crack the proverbial nut when it comes to improving performance in the workplace, particularly when the training involves the creation and delivery of costly all-singing, all-dancing, content-rich e-learning courses.   Much of the time productivity and performance can be improved by addressing working problems like lack of communication, poor collaboration and sharing of knowledge and resources

We work with organisations to help employees, either individually or in their teams or groups,  work more effectively and productively.  To do this we focus on social and collaborative approaches using social media (SoMe) tools.  This is what we call The SMARTER Approach to Workplace Learning.

If you prefer, and would simply like us to help you understand how to use this approach in your organisation, then we offer collaborative workshops to get you started.

2 - Training & Education Consultancy

If you are a training provider - either in-house or external training organisation - or educational institution - college or university, we can help you embed social and collaborative learning approaches into your existing and new training programmes, courses, workshops and face-to-face classes.

3 - Technical Services
We offer a range of technical services for businesses and education,  e,g..

• Elgg services (for the Elgg social open source social engine) including set up and customisation of a social and collaboration platform
• Facebook application development
• development of augmented reality layers for android and iPhones.
