Welcome to the Centre for Learning and Performance
Technologies (C4LPT).
I
am Jane Hart and here I keep track of learning trends, technologies and
tools to help organisations understand them and
implement them successfully for both formal
and informal learning purposes as well as to support
productivity and performance improvement.
Every day I select an (e-)learning item of
interest and post about it on my blog:
Jane's E-Learning Pick of the
Day, which you can also read via Twitter, where I am
@c4lpt.
Here's my latest tweet!
I have produced and compiled a number of free resources
about learning tools and technologies. These include:

Directory of
Learning Tools Over the years my clients have asked me for
recommendations of tools for different purposes so I began to put
together a list some years ago. Now this
Directory contains over 2,560 tools that range from "traditional" course
authoring tools to Web 2.0 collaboration and sharing
tools as well as tools for managing your personal learning - and
two-thirds of them are FREE,
Top 10 favourite tools lists I have also been asked what my favourite tools are. However, as I
believed it was just as important to find out what other learning professionals
think, during 2008 223 people contributed their Top 10 Tools for Learning.
Top 100 Tools
for Learning 2008 From the Top 10 Tools list I then compiled the
Top 100 Tools for Learning list. It is interesting to compare the
rankings with last year's list. I also categorised this list to create a
Toolset for Learning 2009
25 tools every learning professional should have in their
Toolbox - and all for free Using the Toolset for Learning I then identified 25 key free tools - these are both tools for personal learning as well as creating learning
for others - and created the 25 Tools resource. There is a
slideshow, and an online workshop (Moodle) site where you
can
find Mini Tutorials to help you with the tools.
And there is a Community, too, to share your experience of
these tools with others.
