… while much has been made of the benefits of tools such as Twitter and Facebook to the corporate world, there are advantages to using them in other more sensitive jobs. Those who are doing so say the rewards outweigh the risks – but you have to take careful steps to get it right.

4 – Ask Owls is a recently released, California-based startup creating online video classrooms.  A teacher can host up to ten students with webcams.

“Just self-train instead of doing your normal job. Advantages: gain the desired knowledge, keep getting paid, avoid the thankless drudgery of your job for a while. Disadvantage: a crappy performance review, but that was coming anyway.
