What is Elgg?

Elgg is a FREE, open source social engine to create social environments.  It is more than just social networking but includes social bookmarking, blogging, wikis, RSS feeds, micro-blogging and more - all in one platform.  Elgg allows individuals to create, organise and manage their own personal resources and contacts using a variety of social media tools, as well as work with others - co-creating and sharing content and resources - in groups. 

Why Elgg?

As Elgg supports the creation of a number of different groups to which members can belong, it is most appropriate where the emphasis is on collaborative working and social learning. It can therefore be used in the following ways

Costs

• Standard Package
  We can set up a clone of the SoLEARN site (i.e with the same functionality plus your own colour scheme and logo) for £3,000 + VAT.  Any additional customisations, hosting, training and support will cost extra.  Find out more here.
