Mindmapping and brainstorming tools

Comments from those who selected Cmap as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2008

  • " When I've got some complex ideas to sort out and simplify, I quite often turn to CmapTools. This is a concept mapping tool that allows any concept to link to any other concept, along with linking phrases. Very quickly, a map can become too complex. But then that forces a thought process to simplify it down to its essentials. I often go through that process when preparing presentations or learning materials. It makes sure you only include detail that is relevant"  Mark Berthelemy

Comments from those who selected Cmap as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2007

  • "for my knowledge representation and I teach their use to teachers and students "  Gianni Marconato
  • " I use concept mapping for planning, organizing topics, and to see how ideas connect to each other. When teaching, in order to evaluate learner’s understanding, I require her/him to produce a CMAP of how course components relate.George Siemens
  • "Until recently, I used ConceptDraw and Inspiration frequently for mindmapping and concept mapping.  I’ve found it easier to use CMAP for the type of distributed, collaborative mapping of complex strategies and learning design patterns that I’m needing a lot more these days."  Andrea Barrett
