Comments from those who selected
Elluminate as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2008
- "For training between campuses as well
as virtual office hours, I have come to really love Elluminate's
flexibility and power. The fact that the experience is the same
for both Mac and PC users is also a very strong selling point
for me. Not free."
Audrey J Williams
- "Stable, efficient, feature rich
web-conferencing tool for business. I'd love to have the
interface in my local language though."
Stylianos Mystakidis
- "The best of the
virtual classroom products: highly reliable, good quality VOIP,
good support, dependable breakout rooms, and an object-oriented
whiteboard, Now being challenged by a new FREE tool called WizIQ."
Jane Bozarth
Comments from those who selected
Elluminate as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2007
- "I have used both Elluminate and Live Classroom, and
each has advantages and disadvantages. I really
like the ability to engage students synchronously in
a medium where they can be relaxed and
themselves...and not get cramped fingers from
typing. By incorporating powerpoints, polling, and
application sharing, I can work with students spread
over several states and continue to build community.
It is also a great collaboration tool for students
to use without me."
Brit Watwood
- "After attending
the connectivism conference and foe 2007 this year,
I now use my free elluminate room to meet and share
information with colleagues"
Lynn Wernham
- "my favorite presentation
software for remote presentations and teaching"
Lisa Neal
- for "synchronous
communication"
Chip Bruce
- "
I used iChat extensively to
collaborate with, and get help from,
colleagues when working on projects and
have also used it with teachers and
students in conjunction with Elluminate
for teaching calculus at a distance."
