TOP 10 TOOLS 2008
Benjamin Hamilton

Ben is a Senior Training Technology Program Analyst contractor to a U.S. Government agency located in Arlington, VA.  His blog is called "Learning Design and Performance Improvement".

Ben's Top 10 Tools as at 13 February 2008

  1. Google Search - Far and away, the number one tool I use.  I use it on a daily basis regardless of what browser I use.

  2. Blogger - To run my own blog (both my professional and family blogs).

  3. Wikipedia - To get accurate up-to-date information on any number of topics that I do not know about.

  4. Google Reader - To manage my RSS feeds.

  5. PowerPoint - Only because I have to use it at work.

  6. Google Scholar - Very handy when looking up articles for your dissertation.

  7. iPod - Actually iPod Touch to be exact...for listening to podcasts.

  8. Firefox - My preferred browser.
  9. MS Word - For my electronic "To Do List" at work.  Every day, it is one of the first applications I pull up.  And it did help me to get through my dissertation.
  10. Gmail - To keep in touch with friends and colleagues.
