B J's Top 10 Tools as at 13 March 2008

  1. del.icio.us -  It's so easy to tag, organize, and share bookmarks using del.icio.us.

  2. Firefox - I love the add-ons and customization that is possible with Firefox. (The Web Developer toolbar is my favorite.)

  3. Dreamweaver - Great CSS support and file management; it's very easy to use.

  4. Flash - With Flash, anything is possible. If only I could find the time to master ActionScript 3...

  5. Notepad++ - A lean and mean code editor.

  6. Google Reader - This is the best RSS reader I've found.

  7. WordPress - What a great interface - it's so easy to use.

  8. Captivate - An excellent product that has improved greatly over time.

  9. Beyond Compare - A must-have tool that lets you compare multiple versions of a document.

  10. Audacity - One of the best (free) audio tools out there.

B J's Top 10 Tools as at 11 July 2007

  1. del.icio.us It's so easy to tag and organize bookmarks using del.icio.us, and I love that I can access them from anywhere.

  2. Firefox - I love the add-ons and customization that is possible with Firefox. (The Web Developer toolbar is my favorite!)

  3. Dreamweaver / Notepad++ - I'm on the fence right now between these two. Dreamweaver has better CSS support and file management, but Notepad++ is a great 'lean and mean' coding application.

  4. Flash - With Flash, anything is possible.

  5. Google Reader - his is the best RSS reader I've found.

  6. WordPress - What a great interface - it's so easy to use..

  7. Captivate - An excellent product, once you understand its idiosyncrasies.

  8. Beyond Compare - A must-have tool that lets you compare multiple versions of a document.

  9. Audacity - One of the best (free) audio tools out there.

  10. Winamp - Call me old school, but this is still my go-to application for listening to music while I work.
