TOP 10 TOOLS 2008
Caryl Oliver

Caryl is a leader in Australia in mobile learning and she is a freelance consultant to educators wanting to embrace new and emerging technology.   Caryl   understands that not everyone else has the same nose-bleed 'early adopter' tendencies that she possesses. To de-mystify everything that is online, wireless and next-generation, she has developed simple techniques to help others take their first steps this direction.  She is a founding director of the International Association for Mobile Learning.  www.caryloliver.com  provides services to those who would like to embrace mobile and new technology for learning, but who may not know where to start. She also advises industry, individuals and educators on the small steps that will help them better manage a world in which technology dominates.

Caryl's Top 10 Tools as at 5 September 2008

  2. Movie Maker - Part two of the digital story telling process.
  3. SUPER - Free software to convert movie files into different formats.

  4. Audacity - Free software for making sound files. (and capturing all my old vynil records into MP3 format

  7. Elluminate - The best online meeting system in my experience

  8. Mobisite Galore - Where I build free mobile websites for self, friend and clients

  9. ToonDoo - A cartoon creation site that enables a completely different level of expression

  10. Voki - A wiki style site using your own voice by means of computer or phone
