  1. Twitterific - Twitter on the side; allows me to keep up with my Tweets without checking the website

  2. Twitterbox - Twitter for inside Second Life.  See How to use a Twitterbox

  3. Skype - my connection to students and colleagues around the world

  4. Jing - a great screen capture freeware program for my Mac. It’s quick easy and I can add highlights and arrows.

  5. Firefox add-on UnPlug – this allows me to download videos of any type from the Internet. It’s great for presentations when I don’t have an Internet connection.

  6. Browser add-on Cooliris Previews – a tool that provides pop-ups of links when I scroll over them; reduces the number of windows I have to keep open

  7. Browser add-on Fleck – allows me to email a website, make notes on that site and more

  8. Mindomo - another mind mapping online tool

  9. Quintura and Quintura for Kids – searching results are shown in clouds; great visuals for kids

  10. Touchgraph – another graphing program for search results; great for visual learners
