David's Top 10 Tools as at 3 March 2008

  1. Scratch - A great bit of software from MIT with a YouTube-like website to accompany it.  Enables anyone to get into programming at the ground level.

    2.       Graspr - Video tutorials with chapter selection and notes on a wide variety of topics.

    3.       DreamSpark -  An incredible offer of free software for 18+ students from Microsoft, even if I am a PS3 fan!

    4.      Teach ICT - Superb resources covering a wide range of ICT courses and skills.

    5.       ClassTools - Create your own flash-based learning games.

    6.       FlashMeetingVideo conference, share files and URLs, fully recordable.

    7.       TeacherTube - Like YouTube, but for Teachers.

    8.       Yacapaca - Easy-to-use testing system and more.

    9.       Moodle - The best VLE/LMS/CMS (!) I've worked with, so versatile.

    10.   Twiddla -  Flexible shared whiteboard with a great deal of potential.  Found through Jane's E-Learning Pick of the Day
