Derek's Top 10 Tools as at 15 January 2008

  1. Movable Type - my blogging application

  2. eXe - a desktop XHTML editor that I use to create eLearning content

  3. ImageWell - a free image capture and manipulation tool for Mac

  4. Firefox - my browser of choice with plug-in features

  5. del-icio.us - for all my bookmarking (added as a Firefox plugin)

  6. Flickr - for image storage - used also for uploading from mobile phones and auto publishing to my blog. Also for the map feature to show where photos were taken

  7. Twitter - for microblogging and keeping in touch with my community

  8. Skype - preference for IM and video contacts

  9. Google Search - wouldn't be without it - built into the Firefox browser

  10. Slideshare - for uploading and sharing my powerpoint presentations
