My name is Janet Bianchini. I am a freelance EFL teacher/trainer living in Abruzzo, Italy. 2009 has truly been the year of technological enlightenment for me. My life has changed since I embraced the following tools for the very first time in 2009. Blogging has also completely revolutionised my life and my blog is called Janet's Abruzzo Edublog. In no particular order, these are the Top 10 tools I love.

  1. Twitter - great to develop my PLN and to keep in touch with cutting edge ideas
  2. Animoto- an easy tool to create fun slideshows with music
  3. Xtranormal- a fantastic tool I have used for lesson presentations (ice-breakers /slang / idiomatic dialogues)
  4. Wordle - a brilliant way to jazz up worksheets
  5. Dvolver - nice for making fun dialogues
  6. Slide - excellent tool to showcase images for presentations
  7. Moodle - a great e-learning platform
  8. Ning - fantastic to build up a solid PLN base
  9. Google Reader - a brilliant time-saving tool
  10. Skype - great for online teaching
