Karen's Top 10 Tools as at 19 February 2008

  1. Google Search - This is like my first cup of tea of the day. I couldn’t do my work without it…

  2. Google Maps - Whether its for business or leisure, map reading isn’t one of my strengths so I couldn’t be without the route planner to get me where I need to go.

  3. Blackboard - I like this as a learning environment as many of our programmes have a very collaborative approach to them and this VLE works well.

  4. Centra - I like the varied functionality this provides as an enterprise solution. You can do ad hoc meetings, group sessions and then more formally organised events.

  5. Facebook - I just like that there is so many things that you can do with it and share things with friends around the world.

  6. Wikipedia - It’s just a great reference site..

  7. RSS - It allows me to keep up to date with a cross section of news on a daily basis so easily.

  8. Outlook 07 - This is my organiser, I share this with my colleagues. It is synchronised with my Blackberry. I couldn’t be without it..

  9. PowerPoint 07 - Very simple tool to use for presentation creation

  10. Internet Explorer - Along with Google Search and Outlook, IE is a tool I use all day every day and wouldn’t be without it.
