Kevin's Top 10 Tools as at 29 July 2007
-
Firefox - I've
been using it for years. I make extensive use of extensions
and tabs, and can't imagine using anything else.
-
Google Reader
- I live in my feed reader. I *never* browse the Web.
I've switched away from GR a couple of times but always come back.
-
Gmail -
what's to say?
-
Blogger - I've blogged using four
different platforms and
this has been the
easiest yet. The way it
integrates with the
other Google tools makes
its use a no-brainer.
-
yubnub
- i still make use of vertical
search and there's nothing easier than Yubnub. It
just fits the way I work.
-
Adium - we
do lots of chatting through Jabber. I like using adium for
connecting to multiple services using different
protocols.
-
twitter -
its use is not trivial. central to organizational
communication and keeping my closest work group informed and
on the same page.
-
Google Docs & Spreadsheets
- haven't used a desktop word processor in over
1.5 years. now that I can detach documents and spreadsheets
directly into GD&Ss it doesn't get any
easier.
-
MediaWiki
- most collaborative work in our organization is done in a wiki and mediawiki is the tool of choice.
-
del.icio.us
- it's where we share what has got our interest.
social bookmarking just flat works for us as a
collaborative tool. everyone in our workgroup uses
it. Several
del.iciou.us feeds are always in my top five
Google Reader trends list
