Sallie Draper

Sallie Draper is the Technology Trainer for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).  WELS is an international Lutheran church body with over 400,000 members. Sallie’s role as Technology Trainer for WELS allows her to do three of her favorite things - work with computers, learn loads of new things, and teach others, primarily through distance education. In addition to training synod employees and volunteers on the various software solutions adopted by the synod, Sallie also enjoys supporting WELS members at large on an assortment of tech-related topics including congregational web sites and church management software solutions.  The primary platform she uses for training is WELS.net University, a Moodle installation.  In 2006 Sallie completed Moodle certification.  Sallie also co-hosts a weekly podcast, WELSTech, where the discussion centers around the intersection of technology and ministry.
