Comments from some of those who selected iMovie as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2016

“Create learning videos easily on your computer” L&D manager, Germany

“Fast learning curve • Inexpensive • Easy to produce quality video presentations” Paul G. Miehl, Consultant, USA

“This year I’ve been created short vlogs and I use iMovie to edit and create them.  You can see the results on my YouTube Channel (please feel free to subscribe – the more I get, I can get myself a vanity URL which is what I’m working towards).  iMovie has it’s own glitches and I’ve had my fair share of problems trying to understand why some videos don’t save as 1080p or trying to understand the difference between ‘library’, ‘event’ or ‘project’ but one step at a time.” Helen Blunden, Consultant, Australia

“As movie editors go, this one’s simple as can be. It has its limitations, especially if you want to edit multiple tracks, but the output is excellent and it’s free on Macs. Jay Cross, 2015 (Honorable Mention)

“a great tool for students to easily create media projects” Diane Lowery 2014

“a possibility to make easy educational videos” Natalie Raeber 2013

“great for editing video for classes”  Debra Lee 2013

“Use on my Macbook Pro and the App version, great tool for creating media assets” Christina Carboni 2013

Pre-2013 comments

“As part of the iLife suite, iMovie puts students in the creative driver’s seat.  I taught secondary students video editing 10 years ago and it was difficult for them to learn.  I can now teach grade 2 students this much easier tool that creates just as good of a product.  We are able to allow students to submit assignments in oral and visual ways instead of text only.”  Kevin Amboe
