History of the survey

Jane Hart, at the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies, has been conducting an annual survey of learning tools since 2007.

The annual Top 100 Tools for Learning list has become very popular. The 2011 list has now been viewed over 900,000 times (on Slideshare), and  the 2012 list over 600,000 times (on Slideshare). The list was also cited in KPCB’s 2013 Internet Trends presentation (viewed over 2.3 million times)
