63 – Tweetdeck

TweetDeck is your personal social media dashboard for staying in touch with what’s happening now, connecting you with your contacts across Twitter,

Purchased by Twitter in May 2011. the version in November 2011 dropped support for LinkedIn, Google Buzz, Foursquare and MySpace accounts. It also now longer supports managing messages on Facebook.  This may well be the reason for its continued descent down the list – this year dropping 23 places.

Pre-2013 comments

“I’m officially hooked to Twitter and use Tweetdeck to organize and group those I follow. My best column: eLearning, of course! Not only is Twitter great for the occasional laugh, but also a great source of information and links. Have a question? Ask your Twitter network! Warning: Tweetdeck does bog my old, creaky laptop down a bit.” Cammy Bean

“In the past, I’ve listed Twitter as the tool, but as my Twitter habit has led me to make greater use of hashtags and groups, Tweetdeck has become my tool of choice.” Rodd Lucie
